I saw sea shells sitting on the sea shore
It was a glorious sunny day here on the South coast, so I took hound junior down to the fabulous open stretch of beach at Hayling Island. There was quite a nip in the air, which only added to the briskness of the walk.
I love the huge tidal movement at this headland. The vicious tides, ripping in and out of the whole harbour area, into the Solent, with the tip of the Isle of Wight only a few miles away.
And this once stretch of coastline is very pebbly, with 10's of thousands of these shells deposited along just one section of the beach. I love their smooth texures, subtle colours and wonderful shapes.
