Under the stars

Had a great service at church today followed by a Christmas service planning lunch meeting at one of our favourite restaurants.

Then a rather necessary but sad meeting with our dear friend Philip to discuss his and his wife's (who is Buddhist and not familiar with Christian funerals) wishes with regard to funeral/memorial service. He's been in and out of hospital recently and Martin has been concerned as to whether he had any idea what these arrangements would be. So he's been visiting with him to make sure he is able to get what he wants and all relevant ministers were there too. A necessary but quite sad gathering. Philip is 83.

We did head down to the beach despite it being a little late. Had a good time with our friends and then as we walked back to the bus, Elizabeth kindly took this pic of Martin and me under these arches they've put up for Christmas, I reckon!
