Remembering...

Watching the Remembrance Service today, left me thinking about my Grandfather who survived both the Battle of the Somme and Gallipoli, despite being shot twice. He was one of the lucky ones, he got to come home...


These Irises will soon be heading off to Singapore, where the flower petals will be used to make a 'sialogogue infusion' for my brother to add to his Martinis. Don't ask me what a sialogogue infusion is! All I can tell you is that Iris petals are apparently an essential ingredient!!
