A Poorly Puss

Simba has been in the wars and is not feeling too good right now. He came home on Friday with a torn ear and some scratches, which I cleaned up as best I could, but seemed fine apart from a bit of blood on his fur. We watched him carefully over the weekend, but there was no evidence of any problems so we went out this afternoon for a few hours.

However, when we got home we notice a large lump on his back so it was straight off to the vet's with him. He'd had a bite on his back, which couldn't be seen because of his thick fur and which had become infected. The vet dealt with it and gave him injections for pain and antibiotics and us a bill for £52!!

It's our 47th wedding anniversary today and we had arranged an evening out, but that's had to be postponed as we don't want to leave him alone. We did manage to get to the cinema earlier to see "Mr Turner" with Timothy Spall. The acting was superb, the photography beautiful, but we didn't much like Mr Turner by the end of the film:-)
