Barbed Poppies

A short trip out this afternoon to photograph a new sculpture unveiled this morning for remembrance day, in Jephson Gardens (Leamington Spa).

The whole piece is ~2metres tall and depicts three poppy heads, with barbed wire coils at the base and wrapped up around the stalks. It was designed by Tim Tolkien, the great-nephew of J R R Tolkien.
