Betws B 'n' B

A very long day ends a very long way from my normal bed.

We are holidays!!

A proper holiday!!

We are in Betws y Coed for the next four days. We are up for the Welsh Ornithological Conference, which this year is in Ruthin. That isn't until Saturday, so we have two days to fill.

We chose Betws y Coed as it was central for Ruthin and Conwy. We are meeting friends at RSPB Conway on Friday.

We ended up leaving quite late in the afternoon as we had work stuff to tie up before we left. It was a four hour run up the A470 from South to North, with a slight diversion when our Sat Nav decided we needed the mountain goat experience by taking over some very narrow mountainous B Roads!!

The scenery is breathtaking as we travel up, and the journey along the A470 really is part of the holiday.

Our guest house is lovely and we seem to have the run of the place.

There is a convenient Chinese restaurant next door, which we of course sampled tonight.

I've been looking forward to this holiday for sometime ...
