Valley of rocks

We are staying on a delightful working farm bed and breakfast at the southern edge of Exmoor. We have a lovely sitting room cum breakfast room all to ourselves with a lovely wood burner. It is warm and cosy and the owner has been very helpful providing us with welly boots, costs, maps and ideas.
We drove through the scenic moor to Lynton where we walked on the cliffs and saw the ferral goats. We hoped to go on the cliff railway down to Lynmouth but it closed last week for Winter.
We drove to Porlock Weir and walked along a pretty coastal path which then rose steeply through woodland, with squirrels and grouse, and lots of mud and wet leaves!
We are relaxing now and plan to eat out in Dulverton.
It's been a great day with hardly any rain!
