#Armistice Service

After yesterday's fun, today's blip is on a more serious note.

I took time out from work this morning to attend the Armistice Day service in Greenhead Park, Huddersfield.

Hundreds of  people including over 300 schoolchildren, turned out at the War Memorial for a service  led by the Vicar of Huddersfield, Rev Canon Simon Moor.

Dignitaries included the Mayor Cllr Ken Smith and Colne Valley MP Jason McCartney as well as senior officers from the Royal British Legion, armed forces and emergency services.
