The Mangorita
The Mangorita.
A fresh and exciting little tinky tink.
A good quality mango mix, a dash or two, or three of nice tequila, a splish splash of sprite, and a cold clear glass half full with ice. And let's not forget the sugar coated rim (my preference).
The Mangorita.
--------------------------
We had a few friends over last night for a Carne Asada BBQ. It was a beautiful evening and the weather stayed dry. We love to entertain this way. Outside on the patio, great music softly playing in the background, delicious food and of course, good friends. Our friends wanted to bring the Mangorita's. The little splash of sprite makes it unique and it goes really well with tender carne asada tacos, refried beans, and spanish rice. And of course the guacamole. The other couple joining us brought 'Columbian-Style' guac. She is a native of Columbia and they all swear by this family recipe. And I am officially hooked, it was amazing.
Even more amazing though, was the low key evening. A group of laid back friends, a lot of laughs, always interesting conversation, and just all around good people. Both of the girls are blip followers and I always make sure to tell each of them how much it means to me to know that they take the time to follow something that I have become very passionate about. Some of my journals have led to some deep and stimulating conversations with each of them. And I like the deep convo's. As my blipper friend Carol tells me, I'm kind of a "deep-dish" kind of person....when the timing and the mood is right. It's nice to get to know people on a more personal level and begin to establish real friendships.
So this blip is dedicated to the evening and the good friends who helped in making it such a good evening. Cheers to the Mangorita's. Cheers to my husband's bbq'ing skills. Cheers to our new fire pit which made the mood even that much better. And cheers to appreciating people and appreciating life. Life is short and should therefore just be fully lived and fully appreciated.
(And I have been posting my blips a day late the last two days due to busy days and late nights.....I'll catch up and get back on track this evening)
