My Grandfathers World War I medal..........I never met him........he died when my Dad was only 11 years old.

It's the medal given to all the survivors of WWI........the reverse reads.......The Great War For Civilisation......1914-1919

On the edge is engraved.......27505 Pte. T. Goldsbrough S.Staff.R........how a chimney sweep from Durham ended up in the South Staffordshire Regiment no one has been able to explain.
