New Inn Bridge, Merthyr Mawr. South Wales.

A stone built bridge constructed in the 15th century across the river Ogmore, and is a scheduled ancient monument. The holes in the parapets were used by the local farmers to push their sheep into the river for a seasonal dip. At one time on the side of the bridge stood an inn, hence the name. The bridge was once part of the main coaching road in South Wales!
