View from above

This is the view from my study window at 3.30pm, and shortly I'll go round closing all the curtains and 'pulling up the draw bridge'. Strangely, some of the liquidambars have lost their lovely leaves but the oaks on the heath behind us are still quite green.
Stripes on the lawn are rather feint, I am hoping for one more cut this year.
