Carwash
Sunset over the River Devon.
First job to be done today was visit the civic amenity site or recycling centre or whatever they are calling it this week to drop off some unwanted stuff. However, this isnt as straightforward as it used to be, as a Clacks homeowner I now have a wee card I have to flash before entry is permitted!
After satisfying my desire to deposit my waste in the designated areas I decided on the way back to the house as it was such a nice day I would join my neighbours and wash the car, inside and out! When it comes to me cleaning the car its more of an annual event unlike my neighbours who seem to be out every Sunday. Needless to say, they were all back indoors before I had even emptied the boot of my car it was so full of junk. But unfazed by being the only one out in the local driveways I carried on, it took me hours, still a few hours hard work never killed anybody. Well, apart from Marie Curie and her work with radiation. But most of the time a couple of hours of hard work never killed anybody. As I packed all the cleaning stuff away for another year I looked round and I was impressed by the job I had spent most of the bloody afternoon doing. I managed to have the Millenium Volvo gleaming, it looked brand new, well newish. Thats probably an exaggeration as well. Lets just say, it looked slightly better.
Once I had this done I was still in the mood for a bike ride, as I was running late, my ambitious plan of trying to take in 20 miles today was scuppered but I did manage to cycle out towards Stirling and back covering approximately 10 miles round trip, so I was quite chuffed with that.
Anyway, its back to the grind for us Mon-Fri people tomorrow. I wonder if there is a giant muddy puddle lieing in wait for me tomorrow as I drive to work?
Have a good un!
