Who's Watching Who?

These were most of my hillwalking companions today, minus D. We took a strange route from Aghavannagh along the River Ow up to Lugnaquilla. There was still a lot of snow on the way and at the summit of Lugnaquilla. It was very cold when we stopped for a snack at the top. Thank goodness for the flask of tea.

The kids had a ball in the snow, but were miserable in their wet clothes at the summit.

'Mum' had hot water bottles and fleese socks ready for them when they got down to the car, and we all had soup and coffee cake back at the house this evening. After a seven hour walk we needed it.

It was a spectacular walk.
