Remembering

I worked at home in the morning, managing to observe the two minute silence at 11am thanks to a ship in Leith docks letting off a blast of its hooter to mark it. I then went up to the office to get a lift to Dunblane where we were attending a conference. It was good to connect with colleagues and get updates on various changes, but it all went rather downhill at the dinner, where the service was chaotic. We sat down at 7.30 but I didn't get my main course till about 9.30 (half an hour after everyone else had had theirs). Although the food was good I was beyond enjoying it as I felt I had to woof it down.

When I got back to the room I noticed the poppies on my jacket and remembered. I prefer the blip I did three years ago.
