I can hear the distant sound of trains..

..be laying track soon.. Baseboards are progressing. Also the tops, with down-lights. These are there to A/ Keep the dust out, and B/ Keep the animals out. They will also support hanging "curtains" of ply, which will be removable for operating..

The storage cupboard is on the left (under the stairs), with a baseboard running to and along the back wall. From this, there's a board coming out into the middle of the room. There will be some more coming down the right side too.. Along the back there will be an embankment, joining left side to right, with a spur coming off towards the back and back under the embankment to the central board. Cinderford town (and station) will be on the right hand end of the embankment, with Bilson Green coming out to the centre, the track then curving aroung to the right to climb up past Cinderford again. The layout is not "strictly" correct, but the idea is there.

There will be some form of mine on the left side, and probably tunnels and bridges (upper/lower Lydbrook style), and a wharf for loading to boats on the river. The line will also skirt back around the edge to form a circular route.

It's my line, and I can do what I want, based around different scenes from the forest (of Dean)..
