Green Praying Mantis

Orthodera novaezealandiae

As I rarely see one of these insects with their wings open it was a thrill to actually photograph one.  However, the background was so busy it was difficult to see it.  With advice from FirehorseMia and help from my son I was able to get it to stand out.  Now wouldn't it be nice if it was a protégé of mine.

I've zoomed in and cropped this image.  It is not so good in large.
