Spider and Fly

A female wolf spider (Anoteropsis hilarus) stalking a fly. I went to a creek hoping for a nice watery blip, but was sidetracked by this encounter in the place where I parked my car. For those of you who like to know the end of the story- I went in too close and they both disappeared.

The flower is yarrow and the fern is bracken.
