Love Expert

So today diddy came home from school with his first merit certificate, 10 kind gestures or pieces of good work recognised. He was so excited. He told me he'd got merits for teaching a little girl how to ride a bike, playing hide and seek with someone no one would play with, helping his friend with a drawing, great model making and name writing (can't remember the rest!). We don't do these rewards at home but I'm pleased they recognise kindness and effort as well as academic achievement :)

Being the kind hearted boy that he is, he didn't want his sister to go without so made her one too. Only Lily's there are pictures of sad person and angry person crossed out and happy person with a big tick. She gets his star award for (and I quote) "being a love expert" - that gave us a good giggle.

Was lovely to have our friends over to play this afternoon. A good day :)
