A rare moment of still
Ivy romps about like a wound up top all day, but sometimes she'll chill out for a bit. Obviously, the bannana helps.
Ivy woke up at 4.30 this morning, after what we think was a nightmare. She was very unhappy. She hung out in our bed and heacbutted me repeatadly, on my back and nose depending on which was I was facing. I felt throurogly beaten up by the time Euan left for work. Ivy wanted an extra breastfeed after he left, and explained to me with signs that she needed one because she was sad about 'DA DAaaaaaa'. Hoping after the weekend, she'll be less clingy to him. I don't think if we were still putting her in her cot it would have made much difference, she'd just have been very unhappy in her cot instead. I sort of like that we can't just 'stick her in her cot' and she gets to decide when to be in bed- it's much more like treating her like abig girl. It also means she'll only nap when she's properly tired- so she's down to one a day, but ultimatly if she can sleep on a matress on the floor, she'll become better at sleeping anywhere.
Went to gaelic toddlers this morning, Lisa gave Ivy and Ivy sized scarf, which is very handy because recently Ivy has wanted to wear my scarfs and they are far too long for her. The activity was making faces out of fruit and veg on wraps or pancakes- I made a beautifull (if I do say so myself) pancake face and Ivy destroyed it.
Ivy wanted to walk after, but it was so windy she kept being blown over (she did keep a tight hold of her scarf though). We went to the deli where Ivy helped to choose some new potatoes so we could have a spanish omlette for dinner.
She was exhausted and fell asleep before Euan came home at lunch time.
Euan did bedtime himself, cos I was going to a bingo night for fundraising for Wednesday's morning playgroup.
