A Night At The Auction

A wet dull and windy again! It seems as it will never stop today!

A fairly busy day at work in the museum today with the wet day. We also had the Shetland Wordplay event on in the auditorium and then a setup straight after it for this evening.
Not much time to myself today, after work I quickly walked Sammy and then headed to the Cunningsburgh hall for the yearly auction sale.

I often help out with the Cunningsburgh History Group and tonight I've been helping with the auction sale to help raise funds. Every year we have the auction sale. Pictured here is Kyle and Eileen Brooke-Freeman on the far left, auctioneer Andrew Nicolson, John Wishart, Barbara Isbister and mam Pat on the right. A good crowd tonight, about 100 and Andrew was very comical at selling the items. The tub Barbara has her hand on sold for £110 :) Taken in the Cunningsburgh Hall.
