Snipe Saves the Day

As the forecast looked similar to yesterday, we decided to head off to nearby RSPB Titchwell Marsh to catch the high tide. It got increasingly grey throughout the morning and started to rain quite heavily around midday. We took refuge in the hides and when it looked as though it was easing off, we headed down to the beach for a bit of sea watching. Unfortunately, the rain persisted and we couldn't see much through our rain-spattered glasses, so reluctantly we headed back to the cottage to get warm and dry and have a late lunch.
Despite all this, I managed to log 46 species of bird, and although conditions were not ideal for photography, this Snipe came out into the open to save the day.
