Today's the day ......................... for a changeover

Time was when you only had hanging baskets and outside pots on the patio in the summer.

Nowadays, there are a multitude of winter-flowering plants that you can put in your baskets and pots - and keep them going all year round. They may get a bit water-logged occasionally but it's nice to have something cheerful to remind you that spring will eventually come round again.

Here's a very healthy-looking polyanthus hanging in a basket just outside my kitchen door ......................
