Dexter

This is my brother Dave and his wife Nora's new little puppy. His official name is King Juan Carlos but his nickname is Dexter. He is a Havanese and about as cute as can be. He is cuddly, wiggly, playful and loving. Dave is handling most of his training and doing a great job. I love being around him. Dave is crate training him. Dexter stays in his crate for a while. Then Dave takes him out and gives him a good walk. (We went on two with him today.) Then he comes in and plays and enjoys time with the people in the house. Then it's time to go back into the crate again for a while. It is working very well. He is almost potty trained, is sweet and lovable, and rarely barks. Such a sweetie.

Dave, Steve and I played bridge today which is why we were in Anacortes in the first place. Steve and I were partners. We didn't win any money but were in the middle of the pack and had a great time playing together. Dave and his partner won first. It was a good day. Dave, Steve and I got in two Carcassonne games before and after bridge. The boys trounced me. It was fun in spite of the losses.

Nora made us all a delicious salmon dinner when we got home. We all talked and laughed. Nora was a bit sad as her team, The Seattle Seahawks lost their game today.
