Fujairah

We're in one of the Emirates - the one that is on the Coast of the Indian Ocean.

A splendid visit to the Museum and to the home of a former Sultan. His treasures were displayed - a beautiful illuminated Qu'ran. They are just building up their tourist aspects and we were sort of guinea pigs. Photos for their brochures. There was a female photographer ! But she wouldn't let us take her photo in return. They are very strict about photographing women.

On to the Fish Market - amazing opportunities. And then to the museum. I'd love to go back with an experienced archaeologist. And finally to the Fort. They were filming but I don't know if it was a soap opera or an Arabian classic! I loved the way the young child was responding. And they were in local costume.

They are building a new mosque. It's modelled on the Sultanahmet Mosque in Istanbul and it was instantly recognisable. But the skyscrapers around it were a bit disconcerting!

On to Dubai now. The adventure is nearly at an end. What a wonderful experience and thank you for joining me.
