Spring at Killermont

On waking this morning, the mountains around the valley were covered in fresh snow and an early morning hop to the silage stack paddock revealed the hard work retrieving a secure cover from the possessed buffetting of yesterday's Nor ' Wester had paid off.
The stack is over 100 metres long ,20 metres wide and over 2 metres high.It will need several hundred more tyres (all man and woman handled ) laid on top to secure it till the winter. In the background are the Clay Cliffs…part of the Ostler fault line and blending into the clouds, the freshly snow covered Southern Alps.
Middle Earth can be cold!
