Sun streaming in on the artificial flowers

The sunshine was lovely by mid morning and I was determined to capture this early winter blessing. However, as you can see I didn't do a very good job of it! I tried to capture the flowers and ornaments on the hearth but was even less pleased by that outcome than this one. So this one will have to do but it does symbolise the day.

Mind you, it didn't last all day, the afternoon clouded over and by the time I was able to get outside it was getting dark anyway and the light had gone. Spent most of the day in front of the computer, working away on the prison contract. Not that I don't like the work, far from it and anyway, Susan is out working as well.

Had a simple egg and chips with tomatoes and peas for tea. The chips were made from odd vegetables knocking around as well as potatoes; sweet potatoes and a solitary parsnip. Roasted the tomatoes at the end too. Simple but very tasty. Then out again for a walk; 4 1/2 miles around the village.
