Potholes of gold
Another head-down writing day today, but then I took a trip out to get my test car washed and to find somewhere to photograph it. A local dry ski centre car park was a good spot, and the water-filled potholes made interesting reflections for the photoshoot.
As I finished, the bright orb of an autumn sun was dipping towards the horizon. I loved the way it turned the potholes into big watery pots of gold.
It's a cool evening with a November nip in the air, but I don't envy those who live in places with year-round sunshine and no real weather or seasons. We're so lucky in the UK to have such a variety of both.
