Brambles

Prickly when eaten, I'm sure!

A beautiful day today and on my day off too. We had a very leisurely start. T off to the Doctors for routine blood tests first thing; I cooked a breakfast reminiscent of those we had last weekend!! for his return. T compared the Meerkat Market.com for cheaper contents insurance whilst I fiddled about with this and that (as usual) and then we made a descision.....

not to go to Shrewsbury to start the C shopping but let's take a picnic to the model flying field instead, which we did ....

Good decision. T flew to his heart's content and I tramped the surrounding fields, camera in tow, of course. Just started on my way when, not one, but two Hares got up right in front of me on the stubble field but were off and gone before I could get a good shot of them. The baby owls who are nesting in one of the old trailers at the airfield were not on display today but my walk was lovely, nonetheless: Hares, Squirrels, rare breed cattle, friendly sheep, getting fatter by the day ready to lamb in the Spring; a few birds and a magnificent, but short-lived sunset.......

My sort of day.
