at home with an Ivysaurus

By MoGrant

What, soiled your mittens? you silly kittens!

(the funniest line in any nursery tale)

Lisa gave Ivy some mittens, which I didn't think she'd wear, but I think she's actually been feeling her hands getting cold recently (Ivy will bring you hats and extra jmpers to put on her if she's cold in the house- she likes to be warm) I wonder if cold hands is the reason she started to want to hold my hand for walking. She can take them off when she doesn't want them on anymore- she took them off (after her hat and before her shoes) when we got home.

I woke Ivy up from her morning nap to go to playgroup, after trying to go back to sleep on our bed and being prodded awake by me again, she climbed down and went to lie down on her own bed instead. When she realised where we were going though, I think she didn't mind not being asleep so much.

At playgroup she did some stamp painting, a very minimalist design, She declared herself 'done' after only making a few tiny marks.

we scored a free mandolin on the local buy swap sell facebook page, so I made some wafer cut chips for dinner, that we covered in garlic butter and parmesan cheese. It was nice, but Euan said he felt like he'd eaten a packet of McCoys for dinner....

Euan has now graduated from 'dada' to 'daddeeeeeeeee!' which makes Ivy sound like yoshi. (if you don't get that cultural reference, 0.14)
