Utter Rage / Kitten Search Update

Okay. So today started off as a pretty awful day.

I am pissed as hell at what seemed like a great doctor with one of the most incompetent staffs I have ever come across. His staff is like a bunch of idiotic teenagers in a clique, not professional at all.

Other than that snippet, I don't want to talk about the situation with the doctor. Please, don't ask about it.

Now, on to the stuff I'd rather talk about.

We plan on kitten hunting today but after the morning we had who knows if we will or not. We're gonna ask his mom if she minds the possibility of us adopting a kitten while we're visiting her.

The way I see it, her house is neutral ground. My cats know her, but they've never been to her house. Even though there are no cats currently in her household, the house still smells of her cat that had to be put down several months ago.

This means my cats will be expecting another cat to be there, but there won't be.

The fact that her house is neutral ground makes it very appealing to introduce a kitten to my cats there. It's no one's territory.

I've been playing my new video game quite a bit lately. I love it, but then I was expecting to, as I love Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age II.

Sorry for the crappy drawing. None of the cats wanted to be photographed today and I couldn't think of an interesting enough inanimate object, so I doodled a rose with silver sharpe on black cardstock.

Back when I was in high school, the older kids really liked my roses for some reason and they'd have me draw them on their bodies. About nine of them turned right around and had them tattooed on them.

So somewhere in this world, there are nine people out there that have my stupid rose tattooed on their bodies.

I used to try to sell these for $1.50 + postage. I had a lot of people wanting them, but they all wanted them for free so I never actually managed to sell any.

Gotta love how people see something they want and expect to get it for free. Ugh.

So yeah. Today has been a pretty shitty day.

We plan on leaving for our Thanksgiving vacation on Saturday. The vets said the sedatives I have for Tuxie are still good if he needs them. And I bought Nova some more painkillers for his back (he was injured while flying a year ago) in case the long ride makes his back stiff and hurt. (Nova gets extremely violent towards humans and animals alike when he's in a great deal of pain. Nova is NOT an aggressive cat, but when he's in a lot of pain or coming out of sedation, he turns into an absolute monster.)

Luckily, Nova's vet is part of Banfield, which is a chain vet clinic that's located in Petsmart stores all over the US and Canada. This makes traveling with animals much easier, because if they need to go to the vet, we have health insurance for them through Banfield and their medical records can be accessed at any Banfield location.
