On fire

It has been a cool day today - it's all relative out here! - with a fair bit of cloud cover so I was hopeful for a sunset and was pleased to catch this before we had to dash out to the grocery store. The sun seems to set very quickly behind the mountains but it looked spectacular for a few moments.

As L is a preemie we cannot take her out and about as much as we would like due to the risk of infection so supermarket shopping is a no-no. However once my son was home from work we were able to let him have some quality time with one of his girls. I find supermarket shopping fascinating in any country I visit and love browsing the aisles to see what food is on offer and how it differs to ours. It is a novelty too to have the bags all packed for us!

It is quite busy here and it often seems we all pass like ships in the night trying to get all the day's business done and factor in a visit to NICU by either parent which takes a full four hours out of the day. Fun though and lots of granny time for me.
