Canada - Tadoussac

An amazing place!

We did not plan to go here. We weren't even confinced that we could travel this far in such a short time. But we did, and I am so glad we did.
It is beautiful up north.

An amazing site along the St. Lawrance River and the Fjord.
We found a campsite that offered the service to book a whale watching trip as well. So tomorrow we are going on a cruise :)

But today, we tried to see some whales from the shoreline while hiking.
And we did. Even before we got out of the car we saw some beluga's in the water. We stopped the car and enjoyed the site of these white whales swimming in the fjord. This is there natural habitat and they stay here year round.

We went to the tourist information centre to get a map from the town and hope to get some tips about the hiking trails nearby.
They gave us plenty. So we went hiking near the bay, but even before we got there we walked past the harbour, where we saw a Minky Whale swimming nearby. And later we saw a seal. It was marvelous.

Two diffrent hikes brought us along the shoreline and over the rocks, up a hill with an amazing view of the bay and river.
I could not stop smiling the whole day. It was wonderful!
