Coming Up Roses!

1st Rose: The first good thing that happened today was a visit from The Regional Manager of the letting agency of our holiday lodge. She was new to the post and wanted to familiarise herself with the properties and their owners. She liked what she saw and thought we were doing a good job.

2nd Rose: At visiting time I was able, for the first time in weeks, to have some little conversations with The Mother. She was more alert and getting more used to speaking without teeth. Followers of my journal will know this is NOT recovery I'm talking about, but SO nice to have these good days. We looked at photos on the laptop and the Dietitian came for a chat.

3rd Rose: While I'd been away The Man had got on better than expected with the wood preservative on the lodge's exterior walls. Amazing how finding a bigger brush helps!

So, everything's been coming up roses today!
