Arts Centre
This is a building I pass many times, but have never photographed before. It was formerly the North Church, but is now the Aberdeen Arts Centre. It was the work of local architect John Smith and was built 1829-30. The conversion from its original use as a church to its current use as a theatre took place in the 1950s, it now comprises a theatre and exhibition centre.
I am not sure if it is under utilised or under publicised, but for whatever reason I have never been there. It is nevertheless an impressive piece of architecture, perhaps a little bit too monumental for my taste.
