Homeward bound

Today was day two of the Hyundai i20 car launch in Spain. Yesterday we drove two versions of the car, with a 1.4 litre diesel engine and a 1.2 litre petrol engine. For the trip back to the airport this morning we drove the 1.1 litre , three-cylinder diesel, and it was the pick of the bunch.

This was the dramatic line of surf crashing onto the coastline as we took off from Malaga on the flight home to Farnborough. It was a pity to leave the mild weather of Andalucia behind, and land back in Hampshire to a steady drizzle.

At least we're better off than friends over in northern U.S. and Canada, where the first big snow dump of winter - five feet of it in some places - is causing driving havoc. It could be a tough winter ahead here too, if the gloomier forecasts are correct.
