Sitting on my spot

This morning we had visitors for tea and cakes - my friend Yvonne and her gorgeous 9 month old little boy who is already starting to walk! The little lad is also a very fast crawler and seeing him zooming around the house was a reminder of forgotten past times with Grace and a warning that we will have all that to cope with again in a few months with Ophelia!!!

In the afternoon, Grace had another 'play and learn' pre-school preparation session. She's already learned to sit still on a 'spot' on the floor at snack time (something neither Hubby or I ever saw her being capable of, to be honest!), and drinking out of a cup without spilling any. They are brilliant sessions, with an enthusiastic, inspiring leader and lots to do. All this for free through Sure Start (with a free creche for Ophelia each week too). Because it was such a glorious spring-like day, we spent most of the time outdoors getting messy with water and sand play, though we did also spend some time inside making a 'grass beast', which was fun!
