postcard to myself on a grey day
it’s a grey, grey morning
the rain it do fall
and I’m feeling hungry and low
(Richard Thompson)
OK - so it’s not raining and I’m not hungry and low - but it’s a dull, miserable, dank day.
As always, Mother Nature finds a way to cheer us up.
The berries are beacons of hope - food for the blackbirds and redwings - and a welcome splash of colour for us, in an otherwise monotonous scene.
They’re also an opportunity to play with effects. Which is a good thing to do on a dull, miserable, dank day.
