End of an eventful day

some events were trivial...

the chaos in the Waitrose cafe because the dishwashing machine had broken down so the staff were hand washing instead of clearing tables

the broken plate from eBay - I've complained but because it was a charity vendor I've told them to keep the money anyway

then there was the more serious

an officious letter from some solicitors to my parents about a transaction with my daughter's flat

leading to the decision to sell it in the new year

which means we will have to give our lovely tenant notice (but not until after Christmas when my daughter is back)

The best part of the day's weather was after 15:30...not funny
