All things come to those who wait

Back in the late 80s when me and Roland got together I remember he had a lovely mug that he had had for ages and ages. Exactly like this one. Then in the mid 90s some friends of ours needed some space to - er - practice flamenco dancing and, for reasons which probably made sense at the time, they ended up using our - small - sitting room. God knows how, but Roland's favourite mug got smashed and he was pissed off to say the least. They offered to buy a new one but it was a bit like the holy grail at the time. It had to be the exact same pattern, from the exact same pottery and couldn't be found anywhere.

Yesterday whilst in London we came upon this. Calico pattern, from Burleigh pottery. He was delighted with this early christmas present.
