Everything's Green!

Green grass, green tractor and green wagon. Today we have been doing silage. It all has to be cut, chopped and in the pit today, due to the weather being so unsettled. As it turned out, it got to 28 degrees C at lunch time, but has started to now cloud over. After tea we are going out to cover the pit - there is nothing worse than waking up in the middle of the night to the sound of rain, knowing that you haven't covered the pit.

Our first pit is so fall of grass, that Farmerboy has had to revert to this smaller one. It will be so good to have this extra feed for the cows should we get into a drought situation.
