The Gifted Violinist

This is my god-daughter, Anita.

I skived off work this morning (and much of this afternoon) to watch her perform at St Martin in the Fields, on the edge of Trafalgar Square.

For today's performance, Anita was Leader of the Junior Guildhall String Ensemble. (For those of you who have read I Am Pilgrim, that's like being The Rider of the Blue!)

It was a hugely accomplished performance from a group of talented teenage musicians, most of whom, I imagine, have already put in Malcolm Gladwell's ten thousand hours worth of practice.

And yes, Anita did like her Tiny Violin, which I blipped yesterday.
