The Old Curiosity Shop

This is the window of a musical instrument shop in Chalk Farm Road, North London. The little red accordion caught my eye; I used to have one like it when I was a child, a Christmas present from my dad, and eventually I learned to pay two tunes on it.

In the digital age, when every sound of every instrument can be replicated with the click of a keyboard, I wonder how much longer shops like these will last. Five years? Ten? Then they'll be as obsolete as the blacksmiths.

A bad thing? Or simply dancing to the tune of progress. Feel free to discuss - especially if you know what to do with an accordion
