Morning glory...
I should have posted this early this morning when I took it! I always hang on just in case something else turns up. Nothing did!
I went out after work for a walk with mom. She took me to some kitchen shop up by Morrisons and when we were stood opposite the shop mom said, 'There! What do you think of that?'
I stared at the black marble effect counter with its ornamental pots and pans and expressed my surprise.
'What's the matter with the kitchen we've got already?' I said.
'No! Not that!' she yelled and then pointed. 'That!'
It was a 2ft fibre optic Christmas tree which had no business in a kitchen at all.
I blame the mince pies we had earlier. Seriously, mom hasn't been interested in Christmassy things since before dad died. It's been two years and nearly nine months. We wandered to Boots after that where I stocked up with odds and ends to take to Edinburgh on Sunday.
I ordered a little tree from Amazon when we got back. It will arrive on Wednesday.
Nothing much else to say really. Work was quiet mercifully so I moved my new report into another environment where it's needed by Wednesday.
So today's picture is the one that I ran out in my slippers to take when I saw the red sky this morning over Racecourse Road. It's just as it was.
