A Pot of Pansies
A pot of pansies…or are they violas? I sometimes find it hard to tell the difference. Anyway this pot of pansies is tucked up against the dog kennel on the porch at home. They have done well in spite of the spate of nor-west winds we have been having. We have quite a lot of pots of flowers growing in and around our patio. They make for a bit of work but even so the pleasure we get from them makes up for that. It is Keith’s job to keep them watered and with the current almost drought conditions it is a frequent task. What would we do without flowers in our lives?
When I was out walking Fergus along the river this morning we walked alongside the RSA Memorial Olive Groves. I noted that there are millions of tiny flowers appearing on the olive trees. They are still in bud at present but I am looking forward to photographing them when they are fully open. I had never noticed olives in flower before today. That is only one of the many wonders of becoming a regular Blipper…One sees more and more of the wonders of the world around us.
