Card Table and Flowers

Wet today but I dodged the showers and got 5 bags of china and glass to the charity shop in three trips.

These beautiful flowers are from my friend Edna and are sitting on a Rosewood card table which always sat in our house while I was growing up. I think it belonged to my Mum's Dad before that and is probably late Victorian. It is one of only two pieces of furniture that I took from Mum and Dad's house when we cleared it. It has sat in storage for 6 years and I am delighted that we have room for it in the new house. Likely to end up in the hall or possibly the landing and either will please me as it is a powerful link to my very happy childhood.
