Work in Progress
A bit mundane and a bit of a shambles, another part of our garden make-over.
This is the very back of our section, the place where the washing is hung and the wood is stacked. The top image shows some framing which used to belong to our old fernery which was covered in shade cloth and went along the fence further to the right, the dirt is where the ferns used to be.
Our girls loved playing here round the ages of 2 and 4. Daughter A had pretend pigs which used to get fed with wet dirt and dried up leaves, it was a good place for treasure hunts on birthdays and when the washing line was out, the chocolate fish game was always a winner with the teens.
But its time for a change, the ferns have gone and finally concrete was laid today as this will become our new bbq area. The plan is to have oriental trellis along the fence and a panel across the wood shed which can be removed when stacking wood. In time all of our concrete areas round the section will be resurfaced so it will all look the same - a bit more modern, and the wood shed roof will be replaced. The trellis has been measured but won't be ready until late January at least, never mind a few potted plants will brighten the area for Christmas and we have new outdoor furniture which will look great when all in place.
It's a nice place to sit with a view of the back garden and away from neighbouring properties.
So a work in progress and I'm loving the result.
Happy Tuesday blippers :)
