A murder of crows

Really fancied having shepherds pie for dinner so we went down to the butchers to buy the ingredients and then down to Rosemarkie for a quick walk on the beach. No one around and the carrion crows were enjoying pecking through the seaweed. I think it must be a family group, two still looked like they had fluffy feathers and came a lot closer before flying off. The adults seemed to be calling them with their distinctive Koww, koww cry.
Several rock pipts were about too as well as pied wagtails who must have decided to stay for the Winter.
About 10 long tailed tits on the feeders today and a tree creeper on the oak tree. All the feeders were busy as the temperature has dropped a lot.

At Brownies we were talking about our hobbies and the girls gave demonstrations of Highland dancing, gymnastics, fiddle and being crazy a hobby three girls have had since birth, apparently ;)
