Apport

An apport is something that appears by supernatural means, traditionally at a seance but more commonly nowadays just out of thin air for no apparent reason.

Keys are a common item and this particular key went missing in the summer, leading us to eventually have to get a new lock for our shed. Then a few weeks ago, as I was hanging out the washing, I fished some pegs out of the bag, heard a clank, looked down and there was the key.

This is not the strangest apport I have had though. I once went through a period where a fresh key appeared on my bed every few days. I think I collected about four or five in the end.
