Flannel board

This is Ivy's new toy. A huge flannel board for sticking felt shapes too. She helped me construct it for her this morning, sticking the flannel down with strips of double sided sticky tape- she was actually slightly better at getting off the backing than I was. She's most impressed that her felt finger puppets stick to it. I do have plans to make her excitings things like felt monsters and a felt christmas tree to decorate to stick to it, but I have to work out where the glue gun has wandered off to first...

Evenings are now Ivy's nappy free time- since there's no point giving her a dry nappy at 5pm when she's only going to be in it for an hour and a half anyway. That's why she's had a bare bottom in the past few photos.

They've upgraded soft play on a tuesday to now be more like a themed party with lots of games. It was pirate themed today- Ivy completly did not understand any of the games, and just looked very bemused. She did understand that she wasmeant to squeal and run about with the older children though....

She sang her first song today. 'Rar rar rar' (round and round, as in the wheels on the bus). She just kept singing it to herself over and over again. When Euan was showing her 'head shoulders knees and toes' she repleid with 'ay ay ay ay ay', thinking he was singing the elephants have wrinkles song. I can't get a bideo of her sinigng though- becuase whenever she sees the camera/phone she stops and says 'cheez'
